For the 2007-08 academic year, I acted as the Team Leader for a Harvard Satellite Research Team, which performed research for the America's Best Leaders project - a joint effort between the Kennedy School for Public Leadership and US News & World Report.

An essay in rhetorical criticism of mine was accepted for presentation at the Ohio Communication Association Conference in the Fall of 2007 and recognized as the "Top Undergraduate Student Paper." See the OCA Newsletter.

A collection of my poetry was an award sponsored by the American Academy of Poets.

At the Ely Chapman Center, I tutored middle and high-school students.

I volunteered for the Outreach program, which delivered books and media materials to homebound senior citizens.
